How We Work…

Anyone building a new structure or constructing a major addition or renovation that requires methane testing and/or mitigation plans.

Our Process Usually takes Between 2 - 4 weeks from Inquiry to Plan Approval.

01 - Inquire

Let’s start a conversation. First, fill out our contact form to provide us with all the information we need to begin working with you.

02 - Project Location

Next, we need to determine if a clients property is located within an LADBS Methane Zone, LADBS Methane Buffer Zone, or other city with different requirements.

03 - Soil Test

We need to conduct a soil gas test on the property and write up a report with the results. This is if the client hasn’t already had this performed.

04 - No Methane Found

If the property is in a Methane Buffer Zone and we didn’t find any methane, they are done and just include the report in with their submittal to the city.

05 - Methane Found

If they do have methane on the Methane Buffer Zone property OR they are located within a Methane Zone, they must have a methane mitigation plan completed for their project.

06 - Mitigation Planning

We look at the architectural/structural plans for the project and design a mitigation system that is tailored to those plans, their level of methane, and the city requirements. We print these plans out along with an engineer approval, then plans are delivered to the client and/or city plan check.

This process is for the typical Los Angeles client. With each client, services and requirements will vary from city-to-city
as they have different requirements.
